Accessibility Statement

Pleasant Oak Solutions LLC ("Pleasant Oak," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to making pleasantoak.solutions and pleasantoaksolutions.com (the "Site") usable for as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, switch controls, and screen magnification.

1. Standard we aim for

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities. This statement reflects our current good-faith effort; it is not a formal audit or certification.

2. What we've built in

• Semantic HTML with a single H1 and landmark regions on every page.
• Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, dialogs, and buttons with visible focus rings.
• Text and interactive elements that meet WCAG AA color-contrast targets.
• Alt text on informative images and empty alt on decorative images.
• Form fields with real labels, error messages announced by screen readers, and inputs that support autofill.
• Respect for the operating-system "reduced motion" preference for animations and scroll behavior.
• Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly from 320px up to large desktop widths and support 200% browser zoom without loss of content.
• ARIA attributes only where native HTML isn't enough — no ARIA for its own sake.

3. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Areas we're actively improving:

• Older articles in The Almanac may contain images without descriptive alt text.
• Embedded third-party content — Stripe checkout, Google Calendar booking, and social media embeds — is governed by those providers' own accessibility work.
• PDF reports and downloads may not be fully tagged for screen readers.

If something on the Site is blocking you, please tell us (see Section 5) and we'll provide the information or complete the transaction another way — by email, phone, or video call — at no extra cost.

4. Assistive technology and browsers

We design and test against current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android), and NVDA (Windows). The Site may still work on older browsers but is not actively tested there.

5. Report an accessibility issue

If you run into an accessibility barrier on the Site — anything that keeps you from reading, understanding, navigating, or interacting with the content — please contact us. Tell us the page URL, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and a short description of what happened. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

6. Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review new pages and components against WCAG 2.1 AA as we build them and revisit older pages as we update them. This statement will be revised as those improvements ship.
