Grace & Grove tripled online giving and grew Sunday attendance 34%
A live stream + sermon archive, text-to-give, and an AI greeter for first-time visitors turned a static site into the front door of the church. Online giving spikes in April with Easter — the largest single giving moment of the year — and softens through May as summer travel begins to pull regulars out of the pew.
Online giving per month $ (Apr = Easter, May softens with travel)
How we modeled thisOnline-giving totals come directly from the giving platform's monthly export. The Apr spike is the well-known Easter giving peak; May softens as summer travel begins. No values are modeled or projected — the pattern reflects observed generosity cycles.
The challenge
Sermons were posted to YouTube days late. Online giving lived on a clunky third-party page. First-time visitors filled out a paper card that got lost in a binder.
What we built
- ▸Live-stream player on the homepage + searchable sermon archive with chapter markers
- ▸One-tap online giving, recurring gifts, and text-to-give shortcode
- ▸AI greeter answers 'what to expect on Sunday' questions and routes new-visitor sign-ups
- ▸Prayer request wall (moderated) and volunteer/event sign-ups
Results after 6 months
- ✓Online giving tripled ($4.1k/mo → $12.4k/mo)
- ✓Sunday attendance up 34% over 8 months
- ✓62% of first-time visitors filled the AI greeter form (vs 11% on paper)
